SearchWP: An Introduction to a Powerful WordPress Search Plugin

Background – Why SearchWP?
As an avid WordPress fan, I have always believed it to be the most powerful website builder in the world. However, the search functionality has always been limited, as search is a challenging problem to solve.
While there are SaaS on-site search solutions in the market, most are either expensive or do not integrate well with WordPress.
When SearchWP was first released in 2013, I wrote a detailed tutorial about it on WPBeginner blog. Since then, I have recommended SearchWP in dozens of our tutorials.
Therefore, when WPBeginner readers surveyed us to build a search plugin to help improve WordPress and WooCommerce search, I reached out to Jon Christopher, founder of SearchWP, with a partnership proposal. After several meetings and discussions, we agreed on an acquisition deal, and SearchWP has now joined the WPBeginner family of products.
