OpenAI can assist with a wide range of tasks, including creating meta descriptions for your posts and composing email sales copy. By utilizing OpenAI on your WordPress site, you can save time, lower costs, enhance your SEO and workflows, and increase your business!
A Brief Overview of OpenAI You may have heard the terms “OpenAI” and “ChatGPT” used interchangeably, but they are not exactly the same.
OpenAI is a research laboratory that is responsible for creating various AI-powered products, such as the chatbot ChatGPT and the deep-learning, image-generating model DALL-E 2, among others.
The OpenAI team developed ChatGPT, which is an AI assistant designed to streamline your workflows and save you time. It can generate email newsletters, suggest blog post ideas, conduct keyword research, automate workflows, and much more.
To improve your WordPress website workflows using artificial intelligence, you will first need to establish an OpenAI account. Signing up is free and requires only an email and a password.

Generate Titles and Meta Descriptions with AIOSEO
AIOSEO is considered the best SEO plugin for WordPress, and it has now been enhanced with AI capabilities. By inputting your keywords into your blog posts, you can allow AIOSEO and OpenAI to optimize your content even further for search engines.
To start, you need to install AIOSEO by following the instructions in our WordPress plugin installation guide. From there, you can access OpenAI within the WordPress post editor and click a button to generate titles and meta descriptions that suit your content best.
To use the AI generator, locate the ‘AIOSEO Settings’ at the bottom of your page and find the ‘Post Title’ box. Click on the robot icon to display five post title suggestions, and click on the ‘+’ icon next to one of them to use it for your post. If you are not satisfied with the suggestions, you can click ‘Generate New Titles’ to view more.
To generate meta descriptions, simply repeat the same steps by clicking on the robot icon in the ‘Meta Description’ box. You can also link your OpenAI and AIOSEO accounts by copying and pasting an API key. Refer to AIOSEO’s documentation for more details.
Generate Ad Copy and Product Descriptions
GPT-3’s proficiency in SEO makes it ideal for various content creation tasks, including the production of concise, effective ad copy and long-form product descriptions for your WooCommerce store.
For instance, you can prompt ChatGPT to describe the need for running shoes using the “problem-agitate-solve” framework, edit the text to match your preferred sentence structure, include your keywords, and add some product-specific and on-brand language. This process can lead to a boost in your sales.
Generate Blog Post Ideas
Generating ideas for new blog posts can be a time-consuming task. OpenAI, powered by one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers, can help generate content ideas for your WordPress blog. In this article, we explore how to integrate OpenAI into your WordPress workflow using Uncanny Automator, a top automation plugin for WordPress.
To get started, you need to create a contact form using a plugin like WPForms with two number fields labeled “Temperature” and “Maximum Length,” and a single line text field labeled “Open AI Prompt.” Next, connect Automator to OpenAI and build the automation recipe, naming it something like “OpenAI Content Ideation.”
In the Triggers panel, select “WPForms,” followed by “A user submits a form,” and choose the WPForms form you created earlier. In the Actions panel, choose “OpenAI” and select “Use a prompt to generate text with the Davinci model.” Map the fields from WPForms to the Temperature, Length, and Prompt fields in the OpenAI action.
To send the blog post ideas to an external spreadsheet, add a second Action and choose Google Sheets. Select “Create a row in a Google Sheet” and select your content management spreadsheet. Then, add the OpenAI Response token to the appropriate column(s) and click “Save.”
Toggle your recipe from “Draft” to “Live,” and whenever you enter information into your blog post idea generator form, Automator will tell OpenAI to suggest new content ideas and send them to your Google Sheets spreadsheet.
For example, entering “Give me 5 fun blog posts on pediatric dentistry” into the WPForms form generated a response from OpenAI, which Automator added to the worksheet in the recipe. This integration of automation and AI can save valuable time and resources, allowing for more efficient content creation.
Performing Sentiment Analysis
Although it is uncertain whether AI has any emotions of its own, it is capable of comprehending human emotions. By employing OpenAI to interpret the mood of customer feedback, you can conduct sentiment analysis. This can be useful for assigning priority based on message urgency in contact forms linked to help desk plugins, automatically approving positive blog comments, or identifying negative feedback in surveys powered by WordPress form plugins. Addressing negative feedback in a timely manner can result in increased customer satisfaction and improved online reputation.
Automating Customer Support with Intelligent Sentiment Analysis
Combining OpenAI’s emotional intelligence with Uncanny Automator’s efficiency can create an effective customer support system. A pro version of Uncanny Automator is required to incorporate conditional actions into the automation. The process involves OpenAI performing sentiment analysis on product reviews, followed by task creation with varying priority levels based on the sentiment analysis outcomes. In the scenario outlined, if OpenAI identifies a new WooCommerce product review as negative, a new help desk ticket is created in FluentCRM with an “Urgent” tag. Using the GPT-3.5-Turbo model, the submission can also be used to generate a draft reply, which can be included as the ticket draft. This can be accomplished using Automator to send context information, allowing OpenAI to generate a helpful support agent response from the website.
Generating Event Summaries, Podcast Recaps, and Meeting Minutes
Organizing events on a WordPress website is made easy with calendar plugins, but not all customers may be able to attend or save the date. To address this issue, OpenAI can create event summaries in your preferred length and format. For instance, we tasked ChatGPT to generate a 100-word summary of an IMF town hall in October 2008, and it was able to summarize the 1,500-word opening remarks in less than a minute.
Another way to utilize OpenAI is by creating recaps of podcast episodes to cater to listeners who may not have time to consume the full content. By using transcripts, we asked ChatGPT to summarize the first 15 minutes of a popular podcast. Similarly, for those who record their meetings using conference call tools such as Zoom and Google Meet, OpenAI can quickly generate meeting minutes by analyzing the audio transcripts.
Drafting Blog Posts and Integrating Them into Your Workflows
For content writers, facing a blank page can be a daunting experience. With OpenAI, however, generating ideas and writing drafts can become much easier. In this recipe, we used a form submission as a trigger to instruct OpenAI to draft a blog post. Once the draft is ready, it sends a message to the writer through Slack.
To create this recipe, start by creating a new form with at least two number fields labeled ‘Temperature’ and ‘Maximum length’, and two single-line text fields labeled ‘Title’ and ‘Open AI Prompt’. Next, create a new Automator recipe titled ‘OpenAI Blog Post Draft’ and select ‘Logged-in users’ in the pop-up window. In the ‘Triggers’ panel, select ‘WPForms’ and choose the form you created. In the ‘Actions’ panel, select ‘OpenAI’ and choose ‘Use a prompt to generate text with the Davinci model’. Fill in the fields using the tokens from your form’s fields that match the fields in the editor.
Once the draft is generated, you can use an automatic WordPress blog post with the OpenAI content by selecting ‘WordPress’ from the ‘Add action’ menu in the ‘Actions’ panel. Fill in the ‘Title’ field with the title token from your form, and the OpenAI response token in the ‘Content’ field. Optional steps include adding a ClickUp action to create a task with the post URL in the description, and a Slack action to notify your content writer that a new task and draft post is waiting for their review. Once you finish, toggle your recipe from ‘Draft’ to ‘Live’.
To illustrate, we asked OpenAI to write a casual blog post on three ways to make dental visits fun for kids using our WPForms form, and Automator created the following draft.
Draft Emails in Minutes
Crafting well-written emails can be time-consuming, but with OpenAI, it doesn’t have to be. Whether you need to send an internal memo, reply to customer inquiries, or reach out to potential clients, OpenAI can generate a draft email for you in seconds. All you need to do is proofread and add specific information.
As an example, we prompted ChatGPT to “write a 300-word marketing email promoting a Black Friday sale on limited edition clothing,” and in less than 30 seconds, we had an email that we could easily customize to match our branding and requirements. By integrating OpenAI with customer relationship management (CRM) apps, you can create and send emails more quickly than your SMTP server can handle!
Create Blog Post Summaries for Social Media
Promoting your blog posts on social media is crucial, but crafting appropriate character-limited tweets and captions can be even more challenging than creating a complete article. With OpenAI and Automator, you don’t have to worry about finding the perfect hashtags.
For instance, you can set up an action that sends a new blog post to OpenAI to generate a summary that can be shared on Twitter. The summary, along with hashtags, will be sent to our WhatsApp account by Automator. From there, we can edit, copy, and paste the content into our social media accounts when we’re ready to publish.
For a post about connecting ChatGPT to LearnDash, OpenAI produced the following summary: “Embrace the robot revolution and use OpenAI and LearnDash to create the e-learning platform of your dreams. #AI revolution is here! Harness the power of AI for your #elearning platform w/ OpenAI & ChatGPT models. Automate content creation, create course outlines & answer students’ questions. Save time & money w/ Uncanny Automator! #LearnDash #NolejAI #RobotRevolution.”
You can even extend the recipe to have Automator post the summary directly to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
Generate AI-Generated Images for Your Posts or Landing Pages
Are you tired of scrolling through stock photo databases to find the perfect image for your blog post or realizing that every other article with your keywords is using the same image? Fortunately, OpenAI’s image generator, DALL-E 2, can create original images from descriptive plain text.
OpenAI’s Content Policy and Terms give you all rights to the images created with DALL-E 2, “including the right to reprint, sell, and merchandise.”
Using our original WPForms form with an added field for an image prompt, we employed Automator to create a draft blog post complete with a featured image. Whenever you tell DALL-E to create an image using Uncanny Automator, Automator will also add the image to your WordPress media library, with no hotlinking necessary.
Here is an example of a blog post about dental visits with a featured image created by DALL-E. As you can see, the image has a playful graphic with a tooth, toothpaste, and various toothbrushes.
Create Course Outlines in Your LMS
OpenAI is intelligent, as its name suggests. With Uncanny Automator and a learning management system (LMS) like LearnDash, you can be just as intelligent as AI, or at least create course outlines that match AI’s level of intelligence (provided you do your assigned reading).
We asked OpenAI to create an advanced 8-week course outline on supercomputers, which, interestingly enough, is somewhat similar to an OpenAI autobiography. Once you have your course outline, don’t forget to use AIOSEO’s OpenAI integration to write your meta description.
Create Lessons in Your LMS
By using a similar recipe in Uncanny Automator as the previous one, you can effortlessly fill in the course outline that you have created with content generated by OpenAI.
In this lesson, we utilized OpenAI’s response from our previous recipe to aid us in generating this lesson.
By using the appropriate prompts, you can also develop a recipe that generates unique images for your lessons and uploads them automatically to your WordPress media library.
With Automator tokens, you can also set your new DALL-E 2 generated image as the featured image for your lesson or include it somewhere in the lesson itself.
Create a Chatbot
As a natural language processor, OpenAI is proficient in communicating with others. You can utilize this feature to interact with customers on your online store or business website.
This can aid you in targeting users who are encountering issues on your site or want to learn more about your products and services.
By utilizing the correct recipe, you can effectively transform OpenAI into a chatbot on your WordPress website. You can refer to this guide on how to create an AI-powered chatbot with OpenAI and Automator.
Have Fun! Write Short Stories, Poems, or Recipes
