Is it not a warm welcome that we extend to Uncanny Owl and the Automator Plugin into the WPBeginner Growth Fund?

“Introducing Uncanny Owl and the Uncanny Automator Plugin

Uncanny Owl, co-founded by Ryan Moore and Ken Young, is a WordPress-based company headquartered in Toronto. Specializing in streamlining and automating WordPress-powered learning platforms and membership sites, the company is dedicated to delivering engaging e-learning solutions.

Their team is the driving force behind the rapidly expanding WordPress automation plugin, Uncanny Automator, designed to automate a range of WordPress administrative tasks, optimizing time and resources. The plugin seamlessly integrates with numerous popular WordPress plugins and third-party platforms, enabling effortless creation of automation recipes without necessitating coding skills (offering over 300 triggers and actions).

In simpler terms, it facilitates seamless communication between your WordPress plugins, enabling you to achieve remarkable functionalities like:

  • Enabling interaction between two WordPress sites, such as selling products on one while creating users and establishing access on another.
  • Automatically generating user accounts and executing other actions in WordPress through designated buttons.
  • Adding custom user attributes to user profiles based on user interactions.
  • Initiating automation recipes in one plugin based on actions triggered by another plugin (e.g., using WPForms submission to register a user in MemberPress, include them in a BuddyBoss group, and schedule a calendar event).
  • Connecting your WordPress site with over 2000 external services through a single Zapier integration.
  • … and many more.

Uncanny Owl is also renowned for its highly regarded Uncanny Toolkit and additional e-learning extensions.”

The Backstory — Why Uncanny Owl?

I was introduced to the Uncanny Owl brand through their Uncanny Automator plugin, and it instantly resonated with my long-standing desire for such a solution within WordPress.

The capability for two plugins to communicate and seamlessly automate tasks felt like a dream come true.

What made it even more appealing was the ability to achieve this seamless communication across two sites without delving into code. The moment I encountered it, I thought to myself … this is like Zapier for WordPress.

Knowing that they had already developed a product capable of saving website owners a significant amount of time, I was eager to collaborate with them.

Coincidentally, two of our mutual acquaintances, Artur and Chris from Extendify, reached out and inquired if I would be open to discussing a more in-depth partnership with the founders of Uncanny Owl.

My response was an enthusiastic, absolutely!

After a few discussions, we decided to join forces.

I made an investment in the Uncanny Owl business through the WPBeginner Growth Fund and will provide guidance to the team on strategies to expand their WordPress product business.

At Awesome Motive, we have accumulated years of experience in developing widely used WordPress plugins, catering to over 15 million websites, including OptinMonster, WPForms, MonsterInsights, and many more.

Notably, other portfolio companies of the WPBeginner growth fund, such as MemberPress, Formidable Forms, Pretty Links, Wholesale Suite, and others, have witnessed remarkable growth over the years.

Sharing our collective expertise with Uncanny Owl will enable us all to better serve the broader WordPress community.

I am genuinely thrilled to collaborate with Ryan, Ken, and the entire team to accelerate their growth in 2021 and beyond.

Thank you sincerely for your ongoing support of WPBeginner.

Best regards,

Syed Balkhi Founder of WPBeginner
